A research scholar at the national Institute Of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal) in Telangana has been kept in isolation after as he showed symptoms of being affected from corona Virus.
As per the press release issued by NIT Warangal, S Goverdhan Rao said, The student returned to India on 1st March 2010 after attending a conference in USA. He went to his native place at kurnool after returning. he returned to Warangal on 8th March But He was staying outside hostel at Hanamkonda.
As He was suffering from Cold, Cough and fever, He was initially admitted in Rohini hospital on March 10. The Rohini hospital authorities notified the case to the District Medical and health authority and the student was shifted to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital on Thursday afternoon. Currently He is at MGM hospital under isolation.
MGMH superintendent B Srinivas Rao in a talk to media said that the student came with symptoms of Covid-19 and was immediately admitted to the isolation ward. “A decision on whether he should be shifted to Hyderabad or continue his stay here will be taken after consulting the Director of Health Department,” he added.
NIT Warangal authority has taken all precautionary measures to conduct medical examination of students returning from outside Warangal and also advised all faculty, staff and students to take preventive measures to ensure that they do not get any viral infection,” he added.
Many Educational Institutes have been closed because of wide spread of corona virus infection. IIT Bombay, NIT CALICUT & IIIT Vadodra have been shut down till 31st March while NIT DELHI holi vacation have been extended upto 23rd March for BTech while for MTech Its still upto 16th March.
