The officials of IIT Bombay over a senate meeting decided over the running of the new academic session and the closure for the current. For the institute, the students are the first priority. After a long deliberation in the Senate, the officials of the institute have decided today that the next semester will be run purely in the online mode so that there is no compromise on the safety and well-being of the students.
The COVID Pandemic has made the administration rethink the way they impart education to their students. To ensure that the students begin the academic year without further delay, they are planning on extensive online classes details of which will be informed to all students in due course of time.
However, a large section of the scholars come from economically less privileged families and would require a helping hand to equip them with the IT hardware (i.e. laptops and broadband connectivity) to take these online classes. The administration looks forward to your overwhelming support to help these bright young minds to continue their learning without any further hindrances or delays. The aim is that not a single student should miss out on the learning experience because of a lack of money.
NIT RAIPUR was the first NIT to start online classes for 2020-21 session. Online classes started from 16th June 2020 itself, Although no information was given for Even sem 2020 examination, Whether it will be conducted offline later on or even it is cancelled keeping the situation in mind.
Even Punjab Engineering College, PEC Chandigarh also declares 2020 odd semester to be completely online, with Exams to be scheduled in Nov last according to then COVID Situation in country. Exams of previous sem to be held after this sem in December with a gap of 3 weeks. This was also surprising how any students can attend two exams in short time gap.
Even MANIT Bhopal also in its initial notice announced that Odd Sem classes will resume from 1st July and the even sem exams will be conducted later on when the college reopens, But notice was modified and they are scheduled to conduct online exam from next week.
